The hilt of the sword is a true masterpiece, cast from Zamak alloy and richly decorated with patinated silver and bronze. The guard and pommel are adorned with precisely depicted symbols of the craft: you will find the compass and set square, the stonemason's hammer, the plumb line, the sun, the moon, and the scientific book. The pommel features the five-pointed star with the intertwined letter "G", standing for Great and referring to the Great Architect of the Universe. The handle is also elegantly finished with blue velvet inserts, highlighting the ceremonial character of the weapon.
