Every part of this sword references the life of Robin of Locksley. The massive wheel pommel bears the inscription "Robin of Locksley" and "Earl of Huntington" around its rim, reminding us of his noble origins. The centre of the pommel is intersected by a cross, featuring a blue stone (faux sapphire) at its heart. The grip is covered in a black material imitating leather and is reinforced with silver rings.

The crossguard is a true work of art – adorned with relief scenes of the forest and hunting, highlighted by blue enamelling (or patina in a blue enamel style) that contrasts beautifully with the silver finish. The stainless steel blade features complex deep etching with floral motifs and heraldic symbols, typical of Toledo swords.

Although historians debate the real identity of this outlaw, the figure of Robin of Locksley became a symbol of the fight against tyranny and injustice. This sword does not reflect the historical reality of the 12th century, but rather the romanticised image of the Victorian era and classic films, where Robin is portrayed as the dispossessed nobleman, the Earl of Huntington.

Care and Maintenance

To keep this jewel retaining its shine, give it a little care:

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the silver-plated parts and the blade with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid aggressive silver cleaners, which could damage the blue patina and the blackening in the etching.
• Protection: Do not touch the blade with bare palms – acidic sweat can leave marks on stainless steel. If touched, polish the surface immediately.
