Detailed Craftsmanship Worthy of an Emperor
This replica is based on the historical Mainz Gladius type, which was typical for its wide blade and long point. The blade is made of high-quality AISI 440 stainless steel, hardened and polished to a mirror finish. Running down the center of the blade is a dark etched strip featuring floral motifs and the iconic abbreviation S.P.Q.R. (Senatus Populusque Romanus), symbolizing the power of the Roman Senate and People.
The hilt is a true work of art. The crossguard and pommel are cast from Zamak alloy with a finish simulating old bronze and copper. On the guard, you will find a detailed medallion depicting a Roman war chariot, while the rest of the fittings are decorated with reliefs of foliage and eagles.
