Built for the Battlefield
The heart of the sword is a hand-forged blade made of 1045 carbon steel in the shinogi-zukuri style. The blade is massive, without a groove (bo-hi), giving it solid weight and impact power. Although the sword has a sharp edge, the temper line (hamon) is created by cross-grinding for an authentic visual effect. The blade is securely fastened in the handle by two bamboo pegs (mekugi), allowing the sword to be fully disassembled for cleaning.

Traditional Tachi Mounting
What makes this sword exceptional is its mounting (koshirae). The black lacquered scabbard (saya) features a detailed suspension system with leather elements and a high-quality two-tone cotton sageo (cord), a hallmark of the tachi style. The handle is covered with genuine ray skin and wrapped in black silk. The guard (tsuba) features an elegant "mokko" (four-lobed) shape with a silver finish and intricate floral relief, adding a touch of nobility to the weapon.
Care and Maintenance
Since the blade is made of carbon steel, it requires regular maintenance with oil to prevent rust. The sword is delivered in a protective cloth bag and a collector's case.
