Details and Craftsmanship

Both the blade and the handle are made of a light metal alloy (likely zinc and aluminum). This material does not corrode and maintains a silvery shine. The blade features the prominent inscription "CARLOS V" within a decorative frame, referring to the famous monarch. The handle has a texture imitating wire wrap, ensuring not only an authentic look but also a pleasant grip. The guard is straight, ending in decorative spheres, and the pommel is shaped like a "fishtail," typical of the Renaissance period.

Historical Background

This sword is a tribute to Charles V of Habsburg, one of the most powerful monarchs in history. He was the first Spanish king from the Habsburg dynasty and Holy Roman Emperor. He ruled over an empire on which it was said "the sun never sets". His era was a time of conquistadors and religious wars.
