Guinegate Sword of Maximilian I., with scabbard

A beautiful reproduction of the famous sword assumed to have been carried by the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I. in the Battle of Guinegate in 1513.

Due to the fact that the French cavalry stampeded from the battlefield in utter confusion, this battle is also known as the Battle of the Spurs.
