The sword features a cast guard prominently displaying the inscription "CARLOS V", referring to the monarch's Spanish name. The ends of the guard are terminated with detailed lion heads, symbolizing royal power and strength. The grip is wrapped in wire, providing both a period look and a secure hold. The pommel features a distinctive split-tail design.
