Detailed Craftsmanship of a Legendary Weapon
Looking at this katana, its unmistakable, blood-red blade will immediately catch your eye. It is forged from mild steel and features a striking coating that evokes the evil-infused steel from the video game. The handle (tsuka) is traditionally underlaid with black imitation rayskin (samegawa), tightly bound with a red synthetic wrap (tsuka-ito). The metal fittings of the sword are finished with a slight patina. The handguard (tsuba) is shaped like an elegant, blooming flower, while the pommel (kashira) and the collar (fuchi) tastefully complete the overall historical impression. Included is a gorgeous dark scabbard (saya) made of natural wood with a prominent grain, decorated with metal fittings at both ends and a traditional red tying cord (sageo).

In the world of the award-winning game Sekiro, the Fushigiri is considered a cursed blade and is the only weapon capable of bringing true death to those bound by the Dragon's Heritage. Its red hue clearly indicates its dark origins and the blood that has stained it. From a historical perspective, the design is based on the classic Japanese swords of the Sengoku period (15th - 17th centuries), a time when katanas were not just deadly weapons, but also works of art and status symbols for the samurai. This replica honours the game's mythology, bringing a piece of this fascinating world into reality.
Safety Guidelines and Sword Maintenance
It is incredibly important to note that, in terms of safety, this is a strictly decorative product. The weapon is completely unsuitable for practical use, contact sparring, martial arts training (such as Iaidō or Kendō), or cutting tests (tameshigiri). The blade is not hardened, and the tang (nakago) is not built to withstand mechanical stress. Any impacts would lead to the destruction of the weapon and could cause serious injury to yourself and those around you. Even though the edge is unsharpened, the tip of the katana remains dangerous.
To ensure your sword serves as a beautiful decoration for a long time, keep it dry. Although the mild steel blade is coated, we recommend gently wiping it with a dry microfibre cloth after touching it with bare hands, and occasionally applying a thin layer of gun oil. Protect the wooden scabbard from extreme temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight.
