Sword of King Sancho IV

Please note: This is just an ornamental item, not intended for real use!

This intricate replica of the sword of Sancho IV features a broad 1065 carbon steel blade with a long fuller and full tang, hardened to 49-52 HRC. The solid brass crossguard and pommel have beautiful cast detailing with intricate designs and textures in an antique finish. Three circular coats of arms in red, white and gold are applied in cloisonné technique to the wooden handle.

Cloisonné is a traditional artisanal enamel work, in which thin wires separate areas on the carrier plates, which are filled with glass flux. The sword of King Sancho IV comes with a brown leather scabbard with a brass-colored chape. Get yourself a breathtaking piece of Spanish history. Please note: To protect the blade from rust, you need gun oil, which you can get in our sword care and accessories category.
