Due to the delicate combination of velvet and faux fur, this garment requires specific care to keep it looking brand new for years. Never wash the dress in a domestic washing machine and do not tumble dry. Mechanical washing would crush the velvet pile and permanently mat the faux fur trims. We exclusively recommend professional dry cleaning. If the gown becomes damp or wet during an event, hang it on a wide coat hanger and let it air-dry naturally at room temperature away from heat sources. Ironing should only be performed from the reverse side at a very low temperature (silk setting) through a clean cotton pressing cloth to avoid scorching the velvet.
