The neckline trim, sleeve cuffs, and the hem of the overskirt are heavily trimmed with thick fur.

The velvet overskirt is intentionally cut shorter at the front to showcase the under-skirt of red-gold brocade, which flows smoothly to the ground, creating the majestic impression of heavy royal fabric. Never wash the dress in a home washing machine and do not tumble dry, otherwise you risk shrinking the natural materials and irreversibly damaging the pile of both the velvet and the fur. If the garment is wrinkled, iron it exclusively from the reverse side at a very low temperature (silk setting) through a clean cotton cloth. Completely avoid any contact between the hot iron surface and the fur parts or the dagged tails, as they could melt instantly. The safest way to smooth out creases is to use a garment steamer from a safe distance.

Safety Warnings and Practical Advice

This gown is magnificent, but wearing it at events requires increased caution. The textile materials used, and especially the faux fur, are not treated with fire retardant chemicals. We strongly warn you against moving in close proximity to open flames, ballroom candles, or campfires. Faux fur and synthetic fibers in the brocade are highly flammable and melt instantly upon contact with a spark, which can cause severe burns. Also, be mindful of the long hanging tails of the hood on your back and the wide bagpipe sleeves, which can easily catch on surrounding objects, knock over a goblet, or inadvertently come into contact with a flame. The skirt reaches all the way to the ground, so when walking up stairs or on uneven terrain, lift the outer fabric slightly to prevent tripping.
