The inner sleeve is long and narrow, while the outer sleeve, the so-called false or hanging sleeve, falls in the form of the famous medieval tippets down to the hips. The dress flows freely to the ground, giving the wearer an exceptionally noble and slender silhouette.
The overall impression is enhanced by the characteristic historical headwear in the form of a padded wreath or bourrelet, from which a fine veil falls down the back.
