Design and Fantasy Aesthetic
This Katana is designed to closely match the Rivers of Blood weapon used in the game by the enemy Bloody Finger Okina. Its look combines traditional Japanese elements with distinctive fantasy details.
The Blade (Nagasa)
The blade is made from Carbon Steel and features the unmistakable wavy/serrated shape. This unique design is enhanced by a red surface finish, intended to evoke bloodstains, lending the sword its fearsome name and appearance.
Handle and Fittings (Tsuka and Tsuba)
- Handle (Tsuka): The classic wooden handle is tightly wrapped with a black synthetic cord (Tsuka-Ito) over a red underlay, creating a striking black diamond pattern. At the end of the handle is a metal pommel (Kashira) with golden engraving.
- Guard (Tsuba): A simple, circular guard in gold colour separates the handle from the blade, providing both decorative and symbolic protection.
Scabbard (Saya)
Included is a wooden scabbard (Saya) in black with a speckled finish. The scabbard is fitted with brass/gold fittings at both ends, adorned with delicate engravings, giving the sword an elegant look even when sheathed.
