Women's Fantasy Princess Dress / Medieval Costume for LARP
Noble Design and Flattering Cut
The dress captivates at first glance with its colour scheme. The deep red fabric is complemented by a contrasting white panel that runs down the center of the bodice and skirt, creating the illusion of a luxurious two-layered garment. The silhouette is enhanced by decorative lacing on the chest. The cut of the dress is inspired by the empire line, with the waist positioned high under the bust. From this point, the richly gathered skirt flows freely to the ground, which visually elongates the figure and guarantees maximum freedom of movement. The romantic look is completed by wide, flared white cuffs at the ends of the sleeves.
What Character Is It For?
This dress is perfectly suited for portraying any noble or magical character. It is a perfect choice for:
- LARP and Cosplay: Ideal for the character of an elven noblewoman, a human queen, a healer, a lady-in-waiting, or a powerful sorceress.
- Historical and Fantasy Festivals: Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of medieval markets and celebrations at castles and manors.
- Themed Events: Shine at a fantasy ball, a historically-themed wedding, or for a special photoshoot.
A Touch of History and Symbolism
Although the empire cut is more typical of the turn of the 19th century, garments with a high waist appeared in various forms in the Middle Ages as well. The goal was to create a long, elegant silhouette. The use of two contrasting colours, known as "mi-parti," was common among the nobility in the Middle Ages to display family or heraldic colours.
Fun Fact: The combination of red and white held deep meaning in European symbolism. Red was the colour of power, blood, courage, and love, while white symbolized purity, faith, and innocence. The union of these colours could thus represent a powerful yet virtuous ruler.
Care and Size Chart
To keep your dress looking beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend machine washing at 40°C with similar colours. It can be tumble-dried on a low setting. If necessary, iron on a low temperature, preferably from the inside out. For best results, we recommend washing the dress before its first use.
To select the correct size, please carefully compare your measurements with the following table. The measurements correspond to the garment laid flat.
