Bushido Nami Katana, Folded Steel, Dragon Motif
Immerse yourself in the world of the samurai with this Bushido Nami Katana, which is more than just a mere decoration. It hails from the renowned Longquan region in China, where swords have been crafted using traditional methods for over 2,000 years. This piece combines history and honest craftsmanship. The heart of the sword is a blade made of folded steel with a beautiful, visible grain. It is hand-honed and sharp enough to pass the "paper test". The handle is covered with genuine rayskin (*same-gawa*) and wrapped with a black cotton cord (*ito*). What gives the sword its soul are the brass fittings with an aged finish—the guard (*tsuba*), collar (*fuchi*), and pommel (*kashira*) are adorned with the motif of a Japanese water dragon, an ancient symbol of good fortune and wealth. This katana is an excellent choice for collectors, enthusiasts of Japanese culture, or for *kata* practice. Further product information ...
Bushido Nami Katana, Folded Steel, Dragon Motif
This sword is the result of skilled smiths' work. The folded (Damascus) steel blade is hardened to **40-45 HRC** along most of its length, while near the guard (in the *habaki* area) it has a softer temper (approx. 35 HRC) for better shock absorption. The temper line (*hamon*) is applied to the blade using a simulated (etched) method, which gives it an aesthetic appearance, but it is not a traditional clay-tempered blade.
The golden ornaments (*menuki*) under the handle wrap add an elegant accent. The wooden scabbard (*saya*) has a flat black finish flecked with a fine gold "sand" pattern. The sword is delivered in a cotton storage bag for safe keeping.

Care Instructions
A carbon steel blade requires regular maintenance to prevent rust. After each use, especially if you touch the blade, clean and dry it thoroughly. We recommend wiping it regularly with a cloth dampened with oil (e.g., weapon maintenance oil). Do not leave the sword in a damp environment for long periods. Store it in a dry place, ideally out of the scabbard or with regular checks.
Important: Never touch the blade with your bare hands! Sweat and oils from your skin can cause immediate corrosion.
