This cuirass provides not only solid protection but also a striking look for your fantasy or historically inspired character. Its main advantage is its low weight (e.g., size M weighs approx. 6.5 kg) compared to traditional heavy armour, which you'll particularly appreciate during all-day events. Thanks to a system of numerous leather straps (2 cm wide, 4 mm thick) with steel buckles, you can perfectly adjust the cuirass to your figure, even when wearing a gambeson underneath. It elegantly conforms to your body shape and doesn't restrict movement, allowing you to plunge into the fray with unparalleled ease.

Construction and Design

The Avenger Cuirass consists of a front and a back piece, ingeniously assembled from individual plates approximately 1.2mm thick. These plates are shaped to follow the body and are riveted to inner straps of strong, 4mm thick leather, creating a flexible system that allows for freedom of movement. The two halves are connected by two shoulder straps and seven side straps on each side, equipped with durable iron buckles. The inside of the cuirass is painted black for enhanced corrosion protection.

Choosing the Right Size

Selecting the correct size is crucial for maximum comfort and functionality. Always measure your chest circumference including any garments (e.g., a gambeson or padded jack) you plan to wear underneath the cuirass. If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one.

Available sizes:

• M: for a chest circumference of 94-104 cm (weight approx. 6.5 kg)
• L: for a chest circumference of 105-115 cm (weight approx. 6.78 kg)
• XL: for a chest circumference of 116-126 cm (weight approx. 7.41 kg)

Caring for Your New Cuirass

To ensure your Fantasy Cuirass Avenger serves you for as long as possible and retains its original appearance, give it the proper care. After each use, wipe the steel parts dry and lightly apply a conservation oil to prevent rust. The blackened inner surface makes this maintenance easier. Keep the leather straps supple and strong by treating them with leather care products. Store the cuirass in a dry place, away from direct sources of moisture.
