Shuusui Anime Katana: The Legendary Black Blade
Unique Black Blade Design
The most distinctive feature of this sword is its black blade with a typical red pattern on the edge (hamon), resembling saw teeth or flames. This carbon steel replica faithfully copies this iconic look. The handle (tsuka) is wrapped in black cotton cord, revealing imitation ray skin underneath. The guard (tsuba) is shaped like a stylized golden flower, adding elegance to the sword.
The scabbard (saya) is made of black lacquered wood and decorated with traditional pink "Mon" symbols (family crests) in the shape of trefoils, which are characteristic of Shuusui. Unlike traditional katanas, the handle of this replica is glued, so do not attempt to disassemble the sword (do not try to remove the mekugi pegs), as this would cause irreversible damage.

Care and Warnings
Please keep in mind that this is a decorative replica. Although the blade is made of steel, the construction is not designed for cutting (tameshigiri) or contact fencing. Impacts could damage the sword. The carbon steel blade requires care – do not touch it with bare hands to prevent human sweat from causing corrosion. Treat it regularly with preservative oil.
The sword is delivered in a wooden transport box. This box is free of charge and serves only to protect the goods during shipping; therefore, it may show minor cosmetic defects, which, however, do not affect the quality of the sword itself.
