This sword has a 5mm-thick-blade (Gauge 6), the weight of which is reduced by means of three grooved fullers. Its edge is still 3-4mm thick and thus very durable. The sword can be used in strength sword combats, so called full-contact.

Specifications vary from piece to piece; all stated data are to be understood as approximate. The blade is made out of hardened and tempered high carbon spring steel that is not stainless. The guard and pommel is made of steel.

The practical | battle-ready version of this sword has a blunt edge (2-3mm) and rounded point. Such sword was designed to be drawn in a battle or in a stage combat show.

In fighting with sword on sword, the opponent’s blade should be parried with the side of the blade. Lead your sword sporty right and without excessive and/or unnecessary strength.

Despite the high conscientiousness in the production and material selection, we cannot provide any warranty for breakage of the blade even at proper use. Any sword blade can be broken under certain circumstances. An absolute warranty cannot be provided by any respectable maker.

We warranty our swords against all manufacturer's defects (workmanship and or materials) for a period of two years. This warranty applies only when the product is used under normal conditions for which the sword is designed, and does not apply to damage related to accident, misuse, improper care, negligence, and abnormal and/or excessive wear and tear.

Possible nicks in the blade edge are natural symptom of wear and tear and cannot be reclaimed. When they turn up, please remove all sharp nicks by use of diamond file, abrasive paper or grinding machine.

Loosening of a cross | guard cannot be in many cases avoided as well. It can be fixed by additional riveting or tightening the screw joint. Winding a fishing line around the blade tang into the gap between the grip and guard prove as helpful as well to many swordmen, when trying to fasten a loosened guard.

Hochachtung für den Schmied, der dieses Schwert entworfen und hergestellt hat. Eine ausgezeichnete Waffe, die fast von ganz allein alle Hiebe und Schwünge macht. Das Schwert ist so perfekt balanciert, das es kaum als 2 kg Eisen bemerkt wird. Ich besitze einen Einhänder mit 1600 g, der mir deutlich schwerer vorkommt. Die Verarbeitung ist absolut hochwertig. Hier wackelt nichts, keine Grate. Alles perfekt. Die breite Schlagkante ist auch noch abgerundet. Dadurch entstehen kaum Scharten, wenn diese Waffe im Schaukampf oder Training verwendet wird.

I cannot decide if this is my favourite fighting sword, it is just so SOLID and well balanced, while being nimble at the same time. Personally I find that it is more suited to meeting an opponent head on and overpowering them. This blade is heavy enough to stop their attacks dead and the blade is supremely hard, quite literally a danger to other blades. I have bought from other sellers (like MedievalFightClub.com.au) and their best sword is nothing more than a joke compared to this beast of a blade. In fact nothing I have ever bought from there compares to the quality of gear available here. The sword has a triple fuller which helps keep the weight down, but the edge of the blade is an impressive 3 - 4mm thick! Peened pommel, beautiful handle, quite simply the best looking full contact fighting sword I own.

Ich bin Mitglied einer Mittelaltergruppe, in der wir auch regelmäßig ein Schaukampftraining abhalten. Bisher benutzte ich dazu ein gotisches Einhandschwert, das ich vor zwei Jahren auf einem MA-Fest von einem tschechischen Schmied gekauft habe. In punkto Qualität bin ich also einen recht hohen Standard gewohnt ( alle unsere Vereinswaffen stammen ebenfalls aus Tschechien ). Als ich vor Kurzem im Internet ein Bild meines jetzigen Eineinhalbhänders sah, war das rein von der Optik her Liebe auf den ersten Blick.Würde aber auch die Qualität stimmen? Kurzum: meine Erwartungen wurden sogar noch übertroffen.Man sieht dem Schwert seine handwerkliche Herkunft an und hält man es, kann man fühlen, daß es von echten Könnern gefertigt wurde. Ich habe es noch am selben Tag als es ankam im Training verwendet und war restlos begeistert. Durch seine perfekte Balance fühlt es sich fast wie eine natürliche Verlängerung des eigenen Armes an. Trotz seiner knapp 2,1 Kilo Gewicht und seiner stattlichen Länge von 118 cm ( gut, ich selbst bin auch nicht der Kleinste ) läßt sich damit auch über längere Strecken ermüdungsfrei kämpfen, da es jeder Bewegung beinahe widerstandslos folgt. Außerdem klingt es auch noch verdammt gut :-) !
