Collectable Anime Mini Katana with Wind Motif and Stand
Traditional Design in a Modern Anime Guise
While classic Japanese swords (nihonto) adhere to strict historical rules, this model draws its untamed visual identity from modern pop culture. The green jagged pattern on the blade symbolises the aggressive style of Wind Breathing in the original story. Even though the weapon's length corresponds more to an historical tanto dagger, it retains the profile of a Japanese katana. The guard (tsuba) has a characteristic eight-pointed star shape. The handle (tsuka) is formed by an imitation of the traditional two-colour wrap (tsuka-ito), and the set is completed by a stylish scabbard (saya). The integrity of the design makes this miniature a truly faithful copy of the animated inspiration.
Safety Guidelines and Strict Warnings
Although the blade is forged from 420 stainless steel, we must strongly emphasise that this is a strictly decorative collectable miniature. Both the handle and scabbard are made of lightweight plastic, and the weapon does not feature a full tang (nakago) capable of dampening mechanical shocks. This weapon is under no circumstances suitable for practical use, test cutting (tameshigiri), martial arts training, or contact fencing. Dry swinging or attempted strikes would certainly cause the plastic handle to shatter and the blade to fly loose, which presents a massive risk of injury.
Maintaining Your Collectable Weapon
To keep your mini katana looking freshly forged, it requires at least basic care. The stainless steel resists corrosion excellently, but human sweat from fingerprints can leave unsightly marks on it. Always gently wipe the blade with a soft microfibre cloth after handling. Occasionally, you can treat the steel with a tiny drop of high-quality gun oil. The plastic scabbard and handle simply need to be dusted with a dry cloth. Never clean the weapon with harsh chemical solvents, as this could irreversibly damage the paintwork on the blade and the specific pattern on the scabbard.
