Medieval Hourglass Gauntlets, 14th century

These gauntlets are made from 1.5mm (16 gauge) mild steel and fully mimic the movement of the hand and fingers. The inside of the gloves is painted black and lined with strong, red buffalo leather. Gloves made of supple but strong suede are sewn onto the red buffalo leather. A leather strap runs over the palm of the glove, which means that the glove is held firmly in the hand.
