It is believed that the original gauntlets were made in Milan Italy between 1370-1400. Consequently, these gauntlets are most suitable for a late 14th to early 15th century Medieval re-enactment armour harnesses.
These hourglass-shaped gauntlets with their elegant shape are among the gloves in our selection that offer maximum freedom of movement and mobility of the wrist thanks to the wide cuffs typical of this period. They are fastened with robust leather straps and solid brass buckles on the inner side of the hand. Inner gloves made of robust but soft suede are sewn in for comfort and a secure grip. The total length of the Castello hourglass gauntlets, measured from the tip of the middle finger to the edge of the leather cuff, is around 29 cm. They are available in one size that fits most adult men's hands.
