Sharp Katana "Crane" with Carbon Steel Blade
Detailed Katana Description
Every element, from the tsuba to the color of the scabbard, has been chosen to create a unique and tasteful whole.
Carbon Steel Blade and the Symbolism of the Crane
The blade is crafted from medium-high carbon steel, hardened to approximately 50 HRC. This gives it a realistic weight and appearance. Beneath the traditional black hilt wrap (tsuka-ito) are golden menuki (ornaments) in the shape of flying cranes. The theme is matched by the openwork guard (tsuba) with a motif of waves or clouds, through which the cranes travel.
Hilt and Elegant Scabbard
The hilt (tsuka) has a traditional construction with a dark imitation ray skin (same-gawa) base, giving it a serious and noble look. The most distinctive feature, however, is the scabbard (saya). Instead of classic black, it is lacquered in a beautiful, deep burgundy hue that lends the sword a touch of originality. For protection and transport, the katana is stored in a practical black cloth bag.

Explanation: Professional Look vs. Decorative Purpose
This katana is described by the manufacturer as "profi class" due to its materials—a carbon steel blade (~50 HRC) and a very sharp edge—which give it the look and feel of an authentic sword. However, as the manufacturer does not provide a warranty against damage from practical use (e.g., cutting), we strongly recommend that you treat this katana as a high-end collector's and decorative item, not as a functional tool for tameshigiri (cutting practice) or contact sparring.
IMPORTANT: Safety and Carbon Steel Care
Safety First
The blade is extremely sharp! Always exercise the utmost caution when handling the sword. Keep it out of the reach of children and unauthorized persons.
Blade Care
Unlike stainless steel, carbon steel is susceptible to rust. To keep the blade in perfect condition, it is necessary to wipe it dry regularly (especially after every touch) and apply a thin film of preservation oil (e.g., mineral oil or gun oil).
