The Dominant Dragon Tsuba
The heart of this sword is undoubtedly its guard. The huge, three-dimensional tsuba in the shape of a dragon's head is made of metal, and its surface is adorned with a beautiful blue-and-gold patina, giving it an ancient and mystical appearance. This element transforms the katana into an unforgettable display piece.
Blade and Traditional Hilt
The blade is made of 440 stainless steel and is hardened and tempered to a hardness of 47-51 HRC for durability during handling. The hilt (tsuka) adheres to a traditional design – a white imitation ray skin (same-gawa) base is tightly wrapped with a black cord (tsuka-ito) in the classic style. This contrast between the fantasy tsuba and the classic hilt is what makes the sword so special.
Scabbard and Accessories
The sword comes with a classic, black-lacquered wooden scabbard (saya). Its fittings (kojiri, kurikata) stylistically match the tsuba's design and are also decorated with the blue-and-gold patina. Additionally, the delivery includes a simple wooden box, which primarily serves to protect the sword during transport and is provided free of charge.
