Design and Craftsmanship
The sword is designed with an emphasis on visual impact and the symbolism of the Templar Order. Historical Context and Usage
The Templars, or Pauperes commilitones Christi Templique Salomonici, were one of the most powerful Christian military orders of the Middle Ages. For them, the sword was not only a weapon but also a sacred symbol in the shape of a cross. This model, through its ornamentation, refers to the golden age of the order in the 12th and 13th centuries. During this period, swords with a wheel pommel and a straight guard were the standard for European knighthood, and Templars often decorated their gear with specific order symbols.
Important Notice: This product is a decorative item. Due to the stainless steel used and the hilt construction, it is not suitable for practical use, fencing practice (HEMA), cutting tests, or contact historical combat. Forceful impact could cause irreversible damage to the sword and result in personal injury.
Maintenance and Care
Although stainless steel is very durable, I recommend wiping the blade occasionally with a dry cloth to remove fingerprints. Do not use aggressive chemicals on the metal parts of the hilt, as they could damage the decorative silver plating. Never use the sword to strike hard objects (trees, metal poles), as this could loosen the hilt or snap the blade. To keep the scabbard looking great, simply wipe it with a damp cloth.
A white Templar surcoat with a red cross or a leather belt for hanging the scabbard would perfectly complement this sword and complete your knightly look.
