"Cheeba" Katana with Cherry Blossom Motif and Yellow Wrap
Nature-Inspired Design
At first glance, you will be captivated by the wooden scabbard (saya) with its black lacquer finish, featuring a delicate motif of a flowering branch (likely sakura or plum) beneath the moon. This scene creates a calm and harmonious impression. A sharp contrast to the dark scabbard is formed by the handle (tsuka). It is covered with imitation white ray skin and wrapped with a striking yellow cotton cord (ito). The knot (sageo) on the scabbard is also in the same yellow colour. The guard (tsuba) is simple, circular, and black, allowing the other elements to stand out.
Blade Material and Properties
The 69 cm (approx. 27.2 inches) long blade is forged from carbon steel. This means that, unlike cheap stainless steel decorations, this material is closer to historical originals. A temper line (hamon) is suggested on the blade, giving it an authentic look. However, keep in mind that carbon steel is not stainless. It therefore requires regular maintenance with oil to prevent corrosion due to humidity or acids from human sweat.

Usage and Warning
This sword is intended primarily as a display and decorative item, or possibly for drawing practice (iaido) without contact. It is not constructed for cutting hard objects (tameshigiri) or for contact fencing, as there would be a risk of damaging the blade or loosening the handle.
Note: The wooden box in which the sword is delivered serves only as free protective packaging for transport. Any damage to the box during transport is not grounds for a claim regarding the sword itself.
We recommend purchasing a black stand for this distinctive sword, on which the yellow handle will stand out beautifully and brighten up your room.
