Collectable Anime Mini Katana with Turquoise Details and Stand
A Blend of Japanese Forging Tradition and Modern Anime
Traditional Japanese swords (nihonto) boast a rich history, but this replica draws its visual identity from modern Japanese animated series. Although its dimensions correspond more to an historical tanto dagger, it bears all the classic features of a katana. The dark blade is decorated with white kanji characters, which carry deep meaning in the original story. The guard (tsuba) features a unique rectangular shape with hollowed sections. The handle (tsuka) comprises an imitation of the traditional wrap (tsuka-ito) over a turquoise backing reminiscent of ray skin. The entire set is stylishly completed by a black scabbard (saya) and a gold pommel (kashira).
Safety Guidelines and Strict Warnings
Even though the blade is forged from high-quality 420 stainless steel, we must strongly emphasise that this is a strictly decorative collectable miniature. Both the handle and scabbard are made of plastic, and the weapon does not feature a full tang (nakago) capable of absorbing impacts. This sword is under no circumstances suitable for practical use, test cutting (tameshigiri), martial arts training, or contact fencing. Dry swinging or striking objects would cause the plastic parts to shatter and the blade to fly loose, presenting a massive and unnecessary risk of injury.
Maintaining Your Collectable Weapon
To keep your mini katana looking brand new, it requires minor but regular care. The stainless steel resists rust excellently, but human sweat from fingerprints can leave unsightly blemishes. Always gently wipe the blade with a soft microfibre cloth after handling. Occasionally, you can treat the steel with a tiny drop of gun oil. The plastic scabbard and handle simply need to be dusted with a dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners that could irreversibly damage the paint on the blade and the gold details.
