Knights Templar Sword "Sigillum" – Luxury Edition by Marto (Gold-Red)
Symbolism: Gold, Blood, and the Seal of Brotherhood
Not a single detail on this sword is accidental. The massive hilt is richly decorated and gold-plated, contrasting with red inlays symbolizing the blood shed for the faith. The pommel bears a stylized Cross Pattée within a circle. The centre of the crossguard is dominated by a detailed medallion with the iconic scene: two knights on a single horse. This symbol refers to the Order's original poverty and fraternal solidarity.
The blade, made of high-quality stainless steel, features deep etching filled with black paint for maximum contrast. The blade shines with the Latin inscription: "SIGILLUM MILITUM XPISTI" (Seal of the Soldiers of Christ) and complex ornamental motifs intertwined with Templar crosses.
Historical Window: Knights of God
The Templar Order, founded in 1118, became one of the most influential forces of the Middle Ages. They were elite warriors who formed the vanguard and rearguard in battles, but also skilled bankers and diplomats. Their motto "Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed tuo nomini da gloriam" (Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory) expressed their humility before God, even though their earthly power was immense. This sword is a tribute to their golden era in the 13th century.

Sword Care
This sword is a piece of jewellery, not a tool, and requires appropriate care:
- Shine: Wipe the gold-plated parts only with a very soft, dry cloth (e.g., microfiber). Never use metal polishes, as they could wear away the thin layer of gold.
- Blade: Although it is stainless, do not touch it with bare hands (sweat is acidic). To maintain the shine, treat it occasionally with preservation oil.
Important Safety Notice
Please bear in mind that this is a very heavy decorative item (almost 3 kg / 6.6 lbs!).
- Not for Swinging: The sword is constructed strictly as a wall decoration. Due to the high weight and hilt construction (decorative alloy), it is not intended for any kind of movement, fencing, or practice. There is a risk of the hilt snapping due to inertia.
- Secure Installation: If you plan to hang the sword on a wall, ensure you use massive mounts and wall plugs rated for this load.
By owning this sword, you show respect for history and admiration for the masterful craftsmanship of Toledo smiths.
