Craftsmanship and Symbolism
This sword is not merely a piece of metal, but a thoughtful work referencing the specific history of the Crusades. The blade is forged from 1080 high carbon steel, a material historically used for functional weapons. A distinctive feature is the deep fuller, which lightens the blade and improves its balance. A unique detail is the pierced Templar cross at the ricasso (the unsharpened part of the blade near the guard), adding a spiritual dimension to the weapon.
The hilt is equally rich in detail. The grip is wrapped in genuine leather for a secure hold. The disc-shaped steel pommel features an inset replica coin of Bohemond II, Prince of Antioch, anchoring the sword historically to the 12th century. The crossguard is inscribed with the Latin phrase "Christus Vincit ~ Christus Regnat" (Christ Conquers, Christ Reigns), a motto that accompanied Crusaders into battle and coronations.
Usage and Safety
Although the sword is made of quality carbon steel and tempered to approx. 48-52 HRC, we recommend it primarily as a high-end decoration, for costume re-enactment, or as a collector's item. Due to the pierced blade (the cross at the ricasso), this area may be more susceptible to material fatigue under extreme stress (e.g., full-contact heavy combat). It is suitable for scenic fencing or drills, but please avoid heavy metal-on-metal impact to prevent damage to the edge or finish.

Care Instructions
Since the blade is made of carbon steel (not stainless steel), it requires regular maintenance to prevent rust. Wipe the blade with a dry cloth after every touch or use and preserve it with a suitable oil (e.g., gun oil). Treat the leather parts of the scabbard and belt with leather care products to keep them supple. Store the sword in a dry environment, ideally removed from the scabbard if stored for a long time.
