The hilt is cast from Zamak, an alloy of zinc, aluminium, magnesium, and copper, known for its durability and ability to hold intricate details. The handle is finished to imitate old silver with a patina and is covered with fine relief patterns featuring geometric and floral motifs typical of medieval Spanish art. The quillons curve elegantly towards the blade, ending in spiral motifs with crosses, while the trefoil-shaped pommel gives the weapon a balanced appearance.

The blade is made of high-quality 440C stainless steel. This material is prized for its high hardness and resistance to corrosion. A central fuller runs down the blade, featuring etched Latin-style inscriptions. One side reads "LADIVS EORIS" and the other "INOVS DAVOR," enhancing the historical character of the weapon.

Historical Context: The Saint King Ferdinand

Ferdinand III (1199–1252) was a key figure in Spanish history. He united the crowns of Castile and León and led the most successful campaign of the Reconquista, capturing major cities like Seville and Córdoba.
