Detailed Description of the "Woodsman" Armour

This black leather armour is designed for maximum effect and functionality at LARP events. Its design is loosely inspired by the brigandine, a type of armour where protective plates were riveted *under* the outer fabric or leather. Here, however, the decorative leather plates are exposed, forming an attractive diagonal pattern.

Key Features:

• Material: A combination of chrome-tanned split leather (suede) and vegetable-tanned full-grain leather.
• Design: Rectangular full-grain leather plates with an embossed Celtic motif are riveted to a suede base with brass rivets.
• Cut: The cuirass extends to the upper thighs at the back, while the front tapers to an elegant "V" at the knees.
• Adjustment: The armour is fastened with adjustable straps and brass buckles on the sides and shoulders. The front can also be opened and closed with a row of brass buttons.
• Details: Stitched leather hems and an upper chest and neck section in the style of a gorget, made from full-grain leather, complete the look.

Whether you are setting out on an expedition into deep forests, guarding the kingdom's borders, or carrying out secret missions in the city, this armour will give your character a superb look and basic protection. It is ideal for characters like rangers, rogues, adventurers, or mercenaries.

Important Notice: The price includes only the outer "Woodsman" leather armour. The chainmail (shirt and sleeves), belt, sword, boots, and other accessories shown in the photographs are not included in the delivery and are for illustrative purposes only.

This armour is designed for LARP, cosplay, and theatrical purposes. It is not certified personal protective equipment and does not offer sufficient protection for full-contact combat such as buhurt (HMB) or Battle of the Nations.

Size Chart

When choosing your size, remember that you will likely wear the armour over other layers of clothing, such as a shirt, gambeson, or chainmail. Measure your chest circumference at its widest point (while inhaling) already wearing whatever you plan to wear underneath the armour. If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one.

Lengths were measured at the centre back and centre front. The given specifications may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Care for Leather Products

Leather is a natural product that develops a patina over time. Proper care is important to maintain its beauty and durability.

• Store the armour in a dry and well-ventilated environment. Never leave it in a damp bag or an unventilated chest.
• If the armour gets wet (e.g., after a rainy battle), let it air dry at room temperature. Never dry it near a direct heat source (radiator, fire), as the leather will harden and crack.
• The smooth full-grain leather parts (collar, hems) can be occasionally treated with a leather balm (e.g., with beeswax) to keep them supple. The suede parts are not treated, only brushed dry with a soft brush to remove dirt.
• Brass rivets and buckles may develop a patina (oxidise) over time. If you prefer a shiny look, you can carefully polish them with a cloth and a little metal polish.
