During this decade, American engineers and archers began experimenting with a rectangular cross-section for the limbs. They discovered that, compared to the classic English longbow with its D-shaped profile, flat limbs provide superior stress distribution through the material. Materials and Safe Usage

The riser (middle section) is skilfully crafted from wood, granting the weapon an unmistakable and traditional aesthetic. The limb tips are shaped to safely anchor the string. The bow is ready for use immediately after bracing it with the provided Dacron string. Maintenance and What Never to Do

To ensure this bow serves you well for many years, you must follow several crucial rules. Never release the string without an arrow nocked (known as dry firing)! The tremendous energy that would normally transfer to the arrow is instead absorbed by the limbs, almost certainly causing them to shatter or suffer irreversible damage. When you are not shooting, always unstring the bow so the limbs do not lose their spring tension over time. Do not expose the bow to extreme temperatures—never leave it in a closed car during summer or near a radiator. It is advisable to regularly treat the string with specialised archery wax.

We recommend acquiring a traditional leather back quiver and a set of wooden arrows with natural fletching, which will visually and historically match the aesthetics of the 1930s.
