Set of 5 Brass Strap Ends with Pinecone Pattern – Renaissance Style
More Than Just Decoration
Historically, the strap end was a crucial component of belt furniture. It protected the leather tip from delaminating and made it easier to pass the belt through the buckle. Most importantly, it acted as a weight. The "pinecone" motif was a symbol of regeneration and prosperity, widely used in European heraldry and architecture during the Renaissance. This specific design fits well with noble costumes, merchant attire, or even high-ranking soldiers from the 14th to 16th centuries.
DIY Installation Guide
This set is excellent for leathercrafters or groups outfitting multiple members. To install, you will need to trim your leather strap to fit the shape, punch holes corresponding to the fitting's openings, and rivet it in place. Please note: Rivets and washers are not included in the package. You will need to purchase brass rivets separately, ensuring they are the correct length for the thickness of your specific leather belt.

Care Instructions
These strap ends come with an antique finish to look historically authentic. Brass is a reactive metal; to maintain the matte, antique look, simply wipe with a dry cloth. If you prefer a high-polish "new" look, you can use brass polish, but be aware this will remove the patina. Keep away from prolonged exposure to moisture to prevent verdigris (green corrosion) which could stain your leather.
Safety Warning
This product contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to choking hazards. The installation process requires the use of tools; please handle with care to avoid injury.
