Detailed Description of the Sword
This katana is the largest and most impressive piece in the "Dragon's Claw" fantasy series. Every detail is designed to inspire awe and admiration.
Handle and Guard – The Dragon Embodied
The handle (tsuka) has a black texture imitating dragon skin and is topped with a massive, intricately detailed pommel in the shape of a dragon's head. The absolute dominant feature, however, is the guard (tsuba), formed by a mighty dragon that wraps around the blade, its body creating a unique handguard. The entire assembly is made of metal with a patinated silver finish.
Blade and Scabbard
The long, gently curved katana blade is made of high-quality 440 stainless steel, hardened to 47-51 HRC. Its surface is decorated with a fine etched pattern. The black lacquered scabbard (saya) is fitted with intricate metal accessories featuring motifs of demonic guardians. Two sections of the scabbard are wrapped in a decorative textile with a black, gold, and white pattern and tied with a cord (sageo).
