This back of the pole for lance or spear is made from 2mm steel and has two holes on each side for attachment to the shaft. It is suitable for shafts with slightly larger diameters. This metal butt cap can be used to protect the base of the shaft, keep it from splintering and to add balance to the overall weapon. This butt cap is generic and does not represent any one specific time or place. It is hand-made of mild steel.
