The pig face helmet is a variation on the late medieval bascinet helmet. The houndskull was favored amoung knightsand warriors until about 1420. The characteristic design of the visor gives the helmet its's name and to it's prevalence throughout central Europe. This version is based on a milanese helmet from circa 1390 AD. It is made from riveted armour steel with brass ornamentation. There is a moveable and removable visor as well as comfortable leather inlay with chin strap.More information

A Very good Helm for its price. Its quite thinn metal, but it can take hits anyway. A little dents and scratches - but still protects well. So it is very light unlike other Helmets in that category. Vision is ok and with a few extra holes drilled, breathing is absolutely fine.
