This helm style is based on the basinet/bacinet. You can also find some similarity to the sallet. It is distinguished by a prolonged helmet-bowl (flame-shaped neck protection). This type of helm/helmet is missing the visor, which was an advantage for the archers (unrestricted view). The whole edge of the helmet bowl is beaded and on the rear part a middle ridge is visible on the neck guard.
This helm style was common throughout Central Europe in the 15th century.
This helmet can be made to measure after your measurements ‘1a’ to ‘1j’ in this measurement chart.
