Great Helm of Castile, 13th century

  • The total height along the edge of the front part is approx. 310mm
  • The height along the rear connection is approx. 145mm
  • One slit is approx. 82mm long
  • The longest front air opening is approx. 88.7mm long and the shortest opening is approx. 54.8mm long
  • Into the helmet is a glued and riveted a liner made of fabric and leather
  • Supplied with leather chinstrap with metal buckle
  • The belt is approx. 19mm wide and approx. 2.5mm thick
  • The helmet consists of approx. 1mm thick sheet steel (19 gauge) and approx. 0.5mm brass sheet (25 gauge)
