Early pot helmet
Medieval knights sometimes preferred to have their eyesight protected for obvious reasons. The spangenhelm offered protection for the face of the wearer in some versions since ancient times. The Topfheml (literally Pot Helmet) seems to appear due to new fighting tactics of the late Middle Ages. Our Top Helmet represents one of its early versions.
