Steel Mace with Leather Grip 51cm
Primarily developed as a powerful percussive device capable of crushing plate armour, this particular type of blunt weapon is at times referred to as a Turkish mace. However, although indeed widely used by the Ottomans, it was also highly popular throughout Eastern Europe, the Middle East and India. The varied forms ranged from minimalistic, utilitarian shapes and patterns (usually wielded in combat) to heavily adorned, elaborately designed layouts (rather intended for ceremonial purposes or as a badge of rank).
