Introducing the Signature Series by Windlass! Some of their all-time favourites, reissued by Windlass Steelcrafts® with several upgrades! The blade has improved distal taper, making the sword livelier and quicker. The scabbard now has a wooden core underneath the leather exterior. The grip features leather that is dimpled using a historically authentic "wet-wrap" process, during which fine cord is tightly wrapped around a wet leather grip. Erbach Sword, circa 1480, Signature Series
This sword rests in the German Schloss Erbach Armoury and is a fine example of a high medieval/renaissance sword (classified as an Oakeshott type XVIII A). This is truly a beautiful example of a bastard sword, effective in the cut and the thrust. The steel parts are highly decorative and the high carbon steel blade is lightly hollow ground, giving the sword a great feel with one or two hands.
