The title Duke of Anjou was held historically by many significant members of the French royal family. Usage: Decoration or Costume?
Although the armour is fully articulated and can be worn, it is primarily intended as a luxury interior decoration or a costume for ceremonial occasions (parades, photo shoots, film).
- Not intended for combat: The steel is not hardened for full-contact combat (buhurt, HMB). Such use would cause irreversible damage to the product and could result in injury.
- Wearing comfort: If you decide to wear the armour, remember that metal against bare skin or thin clothing is uncomfortable and can cause bruising. For comfortable wear, I strongly recommend purchasing a high-quality gambeson, a padded coif, and padded chausses. These layers not only increase comfort but also fill the space under the armour so that it fits you better.
Armour Care
To keep this splendour shiny and rust-free, it requires your care. Steel is susceptible to oxidation due to humidity.
- Regularly treat the armour with preservation oil (e.g., WD-40 or gun oil).
- Store it in a dry environment with a stable temperature.
- Handling with bare hands leaves aggressive sweat on the metal, so wipe the armour with a cloth and a little oil after every touch.
