We strongly recommend professional dry cleaning only at a trusted facility. Never machine wash or tumble dry this garment; doing so will crush the fine velvet pile, cause the colors to fade, and permanently ruin the delicate gold braids. If the garment becomes wrinkled, iron it strictly from the reverse side at a very low temperature (silk setting, max. 110°C / 230°F) and always through a clean cotton cloth to prevent shiny pressure marks on the velvet surface. The safest method to remove creases from transport is using a garment steamer from a safe distance, avoiding any direct contact between the hot metal plate and the fabric.

The loose cut of the breeches and doublet allows for comfortable movement and period dancing, but the garment is not designed for modern acrobatics or heavy full-contact fencing. When walking up or down stairs, remember to lift the cloak slightly with your hands to avoid stepping on the hem and tripping.
