Shirasaya Style Iaito - Training Katana with Aluminum Blade
Detailed Description and Features
This training katana is designed for maximum safety, durability, and functionality during your practice sessions.
Safe and Lightweight Aluminum Blade
The blade is crafted from durable aluminum with a polished finish. It is completely blunt (edge thickness approx. 1.5 mm), which is key for safe practice. Aluminum is an outstanding material for training weapons—its low weight allows for longer, less strenuous training, it's easy to maintain, and it's resistant to corrosion.
Functional Hilt and Guard
The hilt (tsuka) is carefully wrapped in high-quality, deep brown leather, ensuring a firm and comfortable grip even during extended practice. The simple yet robust squared guard (tsuba) and pommel are made of stainless steel, giving the sword an authentic look and contributing to its excellent balance.
Scabbard in the Shirasaya Aesthetic
The package includes a wooden scabbard (saya) in a natural light wood color. Its minimalist appearance pays homage to the traditional Japanese shirasaya mountings. The scabbard is elegantly complemented by a burgundy ribbon (sageo) and reinforcing metal fittings.

Intended Use

Due to its realistic appearance, it is also an excellent and safe accessory for cosplay, theatre, or as a stylish decoration.

- Never point the sword at other people or animals.
- When practicing in pairs, always use appropriate protective gear.
- Regularly check the condition of the weapon, especially the tightness of the guard and hilt.
