This luxurious hanger for a smallsword or rapier is made of up to 3.5mm thick dyed cowhide.The hanger is hung on the shoulder and worn diagonally across the chest.The entire surface of the hanger is embellished with embossed ornaments typical for the period in question. At the bottom part the hanger is decorated with lilies. Loops carrying the scabbard can be widened with straps provided with decorated buckles and strap ends. The carrying strap can be shortened or extended with a robust buckle made of composite material.
