The thick leather is fully capable of absorbing the shock of combat common in these leisure activities. At the back, the helmet features a lacing system, making it easy to adjust to the shape of your head. The menacing, narrow eye slits are designed to maximise face protection while maintaining a sufficient field of vision for combat orientation. The ventilation holes ensure a better air supply.

Strict Warning: Due to the material used, this is absolutely not protective armour suitable for full-contact combat with steel weapons, such as Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), Buhurt, or Battle of the Nations. Using this helmet against sharp or blunt steel weapons can lead to its destruction and cause serious injury to the wearer.

How to Care for Your Leather Armour

To keep the leather supple and strong for as long as possible, it must be cared for properly. The helmet should not be exposed to extreme moisture for prolonged periods. If you get wet in battle, always dry it slowly at room temperature; never place it directly on a radiator or near an open fire, as the leather could harden and crack. We recommend regularly treating the surface with a high-quality leather balm or beeswax, which will preserve its deep, very dark brown to black shade and increase its resistance to the weather.
