A Glimpse into History: The Armour that Conquered Continents
Lamellar armour is a brilliantly simple yet highly effective type of protection with a history stretching back thousands of years. Its popularity peaked in the medieval period when it was used by armies across Eurasia – from Japan, across the steppes of Central Asia, the Byzantine Empire, to Eastern and Northern Europe. This particular type of plate, with its rectangular shape and characteristic "waist," is inspired by archaeological finds from various sites, such as Kerch in Crimea (c. 5th century) and the Germanic graves at Niederstotzingen (c. 7th century).

Instructions and Maintenance
Your plates will arrive oiled to protect them from corrosion during storage and transit. Before you begin your project, we recommend wiping the oil off with a dry cloth. Once your armour is assembled, it is crucial to keep it dry. Occasionally, spray it lightly inside and out with a conservation oil (like Ballistol or WD-40) and wipe off any excess. This will ensure your masterpiece doesn't rust and serves you for a long time.
