Collectible Samurai Sword Set White Dragon with Wooden Stand
Design and Historical Inspiration
In the history of feudal Japan, samurai traditionally carried a pair of swords called a daisho, which consisted of a katana and a wakizashi. The short dagger, the tanto, was used for close combat or special ritual purposes. With this set, you get all three traditional weapons together. The blades of these swords are forged from carbon steel and feature an aesthetically pleasing temper line (hamon). The handguards (tsuba), collars (fuchi), and pommels (kashira) sport a contrasting dark finish with fine reliefs. The handle (tsuka) is carefully wrapped with white cord. The wooden scabbards (saya) are finished in a brilliant white lacquer and decorated with a magnificent motif of a flying golden dragon, which in Asian mythology symbolises power, good fortune, and wisdom. Furthermore, the package includes a practical black wooden stand, which displays the swords perfectly.
Important Safety Warning
This set is produced exclusively as a decorative item and a collector's accessory. Under no circumstances are the swords intended for practical use! Do not use them for contact fencing, martial arts training, and certainly not for cutting tests (tameshigiri). The blades and the overall construction serve purely aesthetic purposes. Attempting to cut or strike with them carries the risk of fatal damage to the weapons and, above all, the danger of serious injury to yourself or those around you. Any handling of the weapons is entirely at your own risk.
Carbon Steel Maintenance
Even though this is a decoration, the blades are made of carbon steel, which is susceptible to atmospheric corrosion without regular maintenance. Avoid unnecessarily touching the blade with bare hands, as human sweat is acidic and causes rusting. Approximately once every few months, or after every time they are touched, carefully wipe the blade with a dry cloth and preserve it with a thin layer of gun oil or traditional Japanese clove oil (choji). Do not expose the items to extreme temperature fluctuations or high humidity.
