This Gaelic axe (so called Sparth) was made after the original that is exhibited in the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin. This axe developed from Viking axes and similar type was later used by galloglass warriors. The axe comes with a shaft of ash-tree and can be made with just ground or hand-forged finish of the axe head.

Feels and looks great! Lighter then expected, also bigger. I'm 1m90 and I can comfortably lean on it ? Swinging it around doesn't feel really tiring. Wooden handle feels good, a little bit rougher but it gives more traction to the hands and isn't uncomfortable at all. Really recommend this.
