This arrow is a classic representative of traditional archery equipment. The core is a wooden shaft, fitted with a lightweight sheet metal point with a diameter of approximately 8.0 mm. Flight stability is provided by 2.25-inch fletchings (vanes). The arrow is finished with a plastic nock, ensuring a secure and firm fit on the bowstring.

Keep in mind that wood is a natural material. Each arrow has its own unique grain, and the colour of the fletching may vary between batches (available in combinations like orange and green). This gives your gear a personal and authentic look that plastic or carbon arrows can never fully replicate.

Due to its construction and lighter weight (15 g), this arrow is primarily intended for lightweight recreational bows and LARP activities. We recommend using it with bows having a draw weight of up to 25–30 lbs. Using it with more powerful bows carries the risk of excessive arrow paradox (bending) or damage upon impact, which could be hazardous.

Practical Advice and Maintenance

To ensure your Motega arrows serve you as long as possible, follow these tips:

• Shoot only at suitable targets: Use high-quality foam or straw target butts. Never shoot at wooden boards, trees, or walls. Striking a hard surface will immediately damage both the metal tip and the wooden shaft.
• Pre-shot Inspection: Inspect the arrow before every shot. If you find a crack in the wood grain or a splinter, discard the arrow. Shooting a damaged wooden arrow is dangerous.
• Storage: Wood reacts to humidity. Store arrows in a dry place and in a vertical position (in a quiver or rack) to prevent the shafts from warping.
• Fletching Care: If the vanes become stuck together or creased after a shot or passing through a target, simply smooth them out gently with your fingers.
