Wooden FluFlu Arrow 31.5" – Spruce Shaft with Kuro Natural Fletching
Looking for a reliable partner for instinctive archery without the worry of losing your arrows in the next county? This Wooden FluFlu Arrow is exactly what your quiver is missing. Designed with a unique aerodynamic "brake" system, the oversized HB Kuro fletching ensures that after a powerful launch, the arrow quickly loses speed and drops safely to the ground within a short distance. It is the perfect choice for aerial target shooting, small game hunting (where legal), or training in areas with limited space. The high-quality spruce shaft provides that authentic traditional feel every archer loves. Built on a premium 11/32" spruce wood shaft, this arrow offers an excellent balance of weight and durability. The star of the show is the Kuro natural feathers in full length, wrapped to create maximum drag. This design stabilizes the flight instantly but limits the overall range, making it much easier to retrieve your arrows. Finished with a dependable Arizona nock and a classic steel Field Point, this Flu-Flu is ready for action straight out of the box. Further product information ...
Wooden FluFlu Arrow 31.5" – Spruce Shaft with Kuro Natural Fletching
Usage and Practical Tips
FluFlu arrows were traditionally used for bird hunting to prevent the arrow from travelling too far if the shot was missed. Today, they are popular for fun shooting, clout archery, or shooting at thrown foam disks (flu-flu targets). Because they don't fly as far as standard arrows, they are much safer for backyard practice. Always inspect the wooden shaft for any cracks or splinters before every shot. A damaged wooden arrow can fail catastrophically upon release, which could lead to injury.

Recommended Bow Parameters
With a spine rating of 40-45 lbs, these arrows are best suited for traditional recurve bows or longbows with a draw weight between 40 and 50 lbs. If used with bows under 30 lbs, the arrow will be too heavy and stiff, resulting in a very poor flight path due to the high air resistance of the Flu-Flu fletching.
Maintenance and Care
Wood is a natural material that reacts to the environment. If your arrows get wet, wipe them down with a dry cloth immediately. If the feathers become matted or flattened, simply hold them over steam from a kettle for a few seconds, and they will spring back to their original bushy shape. We recommend treating the spruce shafts occasionally with beeswax or wood oil to keep them moisture-resistant. Never shoot at hard surfaces like brick walls or stones, as this will shatter the wooden shaft.
Recommended Accessories
To keep your FluFlu arrows in top shape, use a wide-mouth quiver (back or hip) to avoid crushing the large feathers. For a better shooting experience, a leather shooting glove or a finger tab is essential. If you are planning on shooting aerial targets, consider getting a set of foam disks designed specifically for archery practice to improve your accuracy and have more fun.
